Colleen Mullowney's signature 45-minute presentation combines personal survivor story with research-grounded education on sibling sexual trauma and abuse. Designed originally for university psychology departments, it is now available for college campuses, parent groups, healthcare organizations, and community events nationwide. Every presentation opens space for a conversation that most communities have never had.

Colleen is a certified ECHO Parent Educator — trained through ECHO's facilitator program in their trauma-informed, attachment-based, nonviolent parenting curriculum. Rooted in the science of trauma and resilience, ECHO's approach teaches parents and caregivers how nonviolent communication builds safe, connected families. This training is directly relevant to families navigating safe sibling relationships.

Together with 5 Waves, we have developed a tiered suite of SSTA training for clinicians, social workers, law enforcement, attorneys, medical providers, and Child Advocacy Center staff. Professionals working with children and families every day deserve the knowledge to recognize sibling sexual abuse when they see it — and the language to respond.

Colleen is a certified Stewards of Children® Authorized Facilitator through Darkness to Light — the nation's leading child sexual abuse prevention organization with over 13,000 certified facilitators across all 50 states and 115 countries. This evidence-based, two-hour training teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. As a facilitator, Colleen delivers this training to parents, educators, coaches, and community members — equipping adults with the knowledge and tools to keep children safe.
