Join us in spreading awareness about Sibling Sexual Trauma and Abuse by including just one word - Sibling - into all Childhood Sexual Abuse Prevention materials.
The One Word Initiative

#oneword

SSTA is one of the most common yet least recognized forms of childhood sexual abuse—accounting for up to 50% of cases. For too long, SSTA has been missing from prevention education, professional training, and public awareness.

At SSTA AWARE, we’re changing that.

Why Give

Your Giving Tuesday donation directly supports:

• Free prevention and education materials for schools and families

• Training for educators, clinicians, and community leaders

• Survivor-led advocacy and awareness programs

• Policy and curriculum development that make prevention sustainable

Every dollar helps us protect children, support survivors, and build a future free from silence and shame.

Sibling Sexual Trauma and Abuse (SSTA) remains one of the most overlooked and under-acknowledged forms of childhood sexual abuse. Despite its prevalence, there is a critical gap in prevention, education, and trauma-informed care across all systems that serve children and families.

SSTA AWARE is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading awareness and normalizing the conversations surrounding Sibling Sexual Trauma and Abuse.

We grew from the need to bring the stories of lived experts out of the shadows and into the public.  Our stories uncover the prevalence, patterns, and behaviors that drive research, education, recovery, and prevention.
